Miami Awarded 2010 Super Bowl

By , About.com Guide   October 7, 2005

Follow me on:

The NFL awarded the 2010 Super Bowl — Super Bowl XLIV — to Miami and the championship game will be played February 7, 2010 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens. It is the 10th time the city, who last hosted in 2007, will play host to the championship event. Some think that it is Florida's weather that is the real winner, and I certainly can't argue with that. The fact that Tampa just hosted the 2009 Super Bowl, pretty much confirms Florida as a "super" location in my mind.

Now that the contenders have been decided, which team do you think will prevail? The New Orleans Saints or the Indianapolis Colts? Cast your vote in the poll below:

I understand the NfL doesnt allow tailgating in a controlled parking lot… but my question is, where do you tailgate in miami for the superbowl then?? do you have to stay soo far from the parking lots? or do would i have to go to a local bar nearby? I jsut cant understand why the biggest game of the season has a no tailgating rule?? I am pretty sure me and my fellow new orleaneans will find a way to party in miami even if we have to stand up and get crunk in the middle of a near by streets…

I was really taken aback by the Chargers. Those guy’s seem to have the ole jinx of the Buffalo Bills and the Vikings of Fran Tarkintons Day’s. The Jets well they were good but so was Flaco and Ryan, they need more experience before you shut out the trully best teams. The Saints tried to give the Game to the Vikings via penalties, any other team would not have been able to stay in that game. Destiny, God help the Colts and may he continue to Bless the Saint’s and this town.No cars were overturned during the celebration no arrest were made. This is really hillarious guys! Come on now really we’re talking two entirely different sports. One is Football ( American ) the other is Futbol or Futball or some even call Soccer a form of football, whatever. Their objectives and scoring are totally different. Personally I watched Soccer One time for an entire game. The score ended up 2-0. I imediately understood why fans have riots after watching these very atheletic idiots run back and forth for hours kicking the hell out of each other for 2 points! I said to myself the beer has to be cheaper than $8.00 a pop to sit there and watch that. But, millions do it so to each his own. It’s more fun watching the riots afterwards.
