Snakes Alive!

Rattlesnake      January 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Flamingo Gardens and Wildlife Sanctuary will host its annual Reptile Expo & Sale. The family event will feature a Kids Corner with an interactive show and reptile face painting with Share Bear the Clown at 11:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Stop, Look and Learn tables will feature information on venomous snakes of Florida, snake bite first aid and snake sexing (is it a girl or boy?) demonstrations.
      The sale will benefit Flamingo Gardens and Wildlife Sanctuary and feature captive born and raised snakes, lizards, tortoises, turtles, frogs and all the supplies needed to house and feed them.
      The special discounted admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 4-11. Admission includes the event and all garden and animal exhibits. Food and beverages are available for purchase. Parking is always free.
