Vacation Planning 2006: Spring Break

Ft. Lauderdale Beach in the 1960s      Long before Connie Francis took to the beach in the 1960 hit, Where the Boys Are, Florida was a popular destination for college students to celebrate spring. In the 1980s the city of Fort Lauderdale began to crack down on the out-of-control spring break activities and spring breakers left for friendlier locales - Daytona Beach, Panama City Beach and even the Florida Keys. Today, spring break continues to rock on in Florida.
worldsfairforkids.jpg      Families are even getting in on the spring break action at some of Central Florida's theme parks and Orlando is hosting a World's Fair for Kids, April 15-23, where kids will experience what's hot, what's new and what's next.
