Cypress Gardens

This historic photo of a hoop-skirted belle at Cypress Gardens brings back sweet memories of "Florida's First Theme Park." It's been over a year since the historic Cypress Gardens opened its turnstiles as the revamped Cypress Gardens Adventure Park. People are talking... and the talk is good news. By all accounts, the park is meeting the high expectations of its guests. Its picture perfect gardens and popular ski shows are better than ever; and, most feel the addition of roller coasters, thrill rides and a water park make it even better. Don't just take my word, take a look at the photo gallery of the new and improved "adventure park" put together by About.com's Theme Park Guide, Arthur Levine it's well worth your time!

Thanks for featuring Cypress gardens. I visited there last year and really enjoyed the park and a concert too. The only major problem we had was the parking. Upon exiting the park, the disorganized parking staff made the trip of the place a nightmare. What should have taken 10-15 minutes of slow moving exit traffic to local road, took in excess of 1 hour to physically move about 1/4 of mile out of the park. There was (slow) chaos in the parking lot as no one knew which line was for which exit and the staff in the lot only made things worst. Based on my experience, I will be hard pressed to travel there again.
