2008 Holiday Boat Parades

The Sunshine State showcases its 1200 miles of coastline as well as the vast intercoastal and intracoastal waterways during the holiday season with a myriad of boat parades — from the Panhandle to the Keys and every place in between. These unique parades feature vessels of all sizes decorated and illuminated from bow to stern... and, of course, Santa is usually on board!
Saturday, December 6
- Dunedin Boat Parade sails into the Dunedin Marina where Santa will step off the last boat to light the Christmas tree!
- Holiday Boat Parade of the Palm Beaches begins at 6:00 p.m. at Peanut Island and sails to the Jupiter Lighthouse.
- Venice Christmas Boat Parade will provide a bright start to your holiday season. Festivities begin at 6:00 a.m. from north to south along Venice's intercoastal waterway.
- The 37th Annual Boyton/Delray Holiday Boat Parade begins at the Boynton Inlet promptly at 6:30 p.m. and sails south through Boynton and Delray to the C-15 canal south of Delray.
- Davis Island Lighted Boat Parade begins at the tip of David Island in Tampa at 6:30 p.m. and sails north through Sparkman Channel, then west at Garrison Channel toward Channelside.
- "Groovin' Like the Sixties" is the theme for the Key Largo Boat Parade that is held at Blackwater Sound (Mile Marker 104) at 7:30 p.m.
- Key West Lighted Boat Parade cruises through Key West Harbor and the waters of the historic seaport.
- Seminole Hard Rock's Winterfest Boat Parade 2008 theme is "Rockin the Night Aweigh". The 37th annual event begins at 6:30 p.m. in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, starting on the New River and sails east to the Intracoastal Waterway and northward to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach.
- Key Colony Beach Holiday Boat Parade begins at the 7th Street canal and while winding the canals passes city hall three times.
- Promoted as "Florida's Oldest Boat Parade," the Pompano Beach Holiday Boat Parade will be held from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. along the Intracoastal Waterway.
- Boca Raton Holiday Boat Parade begins at 6:30 at the C-15 canal and sails south, ending just north of the Hillsboro Boulevard Bridge.
- Cape Coral Christmas Boat A Long and Light Parade organizes around Bimini Basin at 4:00 p.m., then meanders through the canels of South Cape Coral.
