Wednesday December 31, 2008
In 2008, "staycations" became the newest travel trend for families having to deal with high gasoline prices and shrinking budgets. In fact, the economy probably had more to do with shaping our vacation habits this year than any other year in recent memory. Of course, Florida — one of America's most popular vacation destinations — still drew millions of visitors because the Sunshine State delivers the best weather, beaches, sunsets, resorts and attractions.I've compiled some of the best of Florida from 2008... and, some of the worst. Now it's your turn to add your comments. Do you agree? Disagree? Have something to add? Tell me what you think!

Hi! I love your articles! Florida is really a place for something else, weird and good and it sets it apart from other states in the US. Every part of Florida provides something for travelers and locals in all age brackets. I wish you wrote about Fort Lauderdale too. We are doing great as well.=)
