Camping In Florida

Friday June 5, 2009
RV CampingIf you are an experienced camper, you may already know that Florida is a camping paradise. The Sunshine State's mild climate allows for year round camping and nearly unlimited outdoor activities. For those that have never camped, Florida offers some unique camping experiences that may result in being hooked for life. Every Thursday this summer in my newsletter — About Florida — and every Friday in this blog, I will be introducing you to "Camping In Florida" — a series of articles that will highlight camping destinations and adventures to help you plan a camping vacation in the Sunshine State.

So you think the whole camping thing sounds good, but you've never camped and you're thinking, "Where do I start?" About.com's expert Camping Guide, David Sweet, has the answers in his Five Lesson Camping for Beginners. Or, maybe you already have camping gear, but could use some advice and tips, he's got that too! He's even got reader submitted camping recipes that will be a hit with the entire family.

You've already got summer... now get camping!
