Last year the ride tickets costed $20.00 per sheet. The better and bigger rides 6 tickets with the average being 5 tickets per ride. Children rides average 3 tickets. I do believe that the cost per sheet gone up $2.00

The state fair website is not working on my pc. I cannot find a schedule of events anywhere. Does anyone know if there is a Shriner’s Day this year, or at least a schedule of events other than at the state fair website? Thank you!
You know it is a shame when people can not even post comments with out being complete morons!!! Talk about education level??
Don’t makes mes go ghettos on y’all!
Gee, sounds like I might get to spend my day at the fair with my neighbors from the trailer park!!
And you can use your welfare check to buy the deep fried watermelon…

don’t be shocked, when you get there – armbands are $30 this year – the recession has hit everyone

i
ok look if all you people just slowed down a bit, you’d come to realize that it take an extreamly long time for the http://www.floridastatefair.com website to load and it looks like its not working at first but it does trust me! Just be patient.
The website is under going maintenance at this time..
TYPICAL FLORIDA MANAGEMENT…
There is no proper list on the site..
figures….
how much are the wrist bands?
If you read comment #14 above, she said the wrist bands ARE $30 each. Plus it’s $10 for adults and $5 for kids under age 11 at the gate to enter. if you want to know what’s going on the fair this year then go to this website: http://gothere.com/Florida/Tampa/Fairgrounds/Florida_State_Fair/florida_state_fair_tampa.htm
You guys are so silly, but seems like alot of money for a family of 5. may be better off going to disney, but then I dont get to see the mullets.
We went to the fair yesterday,Had a good time there was mostly walkers (no one spending money) yes there are people spending but I thought $7.00 for a sandwich was a bit high we paid the $7.00 just the same. The cost to ride the rides was 5 coupons which equates to a dollar a coupon,we spent it as well the events areas were great we thought especially the schools around the state events hall.lots of very talented young adults, and children. go if you can and support your economy!!
Helga, You are the bitch. I m hope I do not meet you at the fair . Impossible attitude.
the links to the state fair are NOT working. There is a broken link that the webmaster needs to fix. It’s been down all day and not sure for how many days… Can’t even pull up a cache page from Google….
Pascoguy, how could you have gone to the fair(yesterday from the date of your post would have been the 2nd of February)when it only opened today?
Okay, now I see. Most of these posts were from LAST YEAR!
Does anyone know what time the wristbands start today. I was able to see the website a couple of days ago, but I don’t remember the hours for today…
i went to sweetbay to purchase tickets, they said they went off sale yesterday. got in my car and heard the commercial on the radio saying while supplies last , and nothing about a cut off date
how much are the wrist bands to get on the rides?
ADVANCE tickets were on sale. This means before the fair opened today.

If u r going to be a b…. then at least be an educated one!
The best kept secret at the State Fair is in the Agricultural Exhibit building. You can get a good sandwich, baked potato, drink, strawberry shortcake, etc. all for about a $1 each item. That is the place to stop if you want to feed a family! Forget the midway booths… way too expensive! I go to the Fair every year and only spend about $20-$25, including adult admission.
REALLY??? How old are you guys…this is to help each other out not blog battery..
Thanks to Dana, the only helpful info I have found on this old article while searching for info on the discounted tickets sold by Sweetbay. Now I see I missed the chance to buy advance tickets and will have to pay $48.00 for the 4 of us just to get in the gate, then another $40.00 (each ride costs 5-6 tickets @ $1.00 a ticket) for the 2 kids to go on 3 or 4 rides, and I’m sure another $40.00 to get 4 sandwiches and drinks. Honestly I don’t know how people can afford it, it’s ridiculous!!
Sorry that you missed purchasing advanced tickets. Usually they go on sale in early January, so next year inquire earlier. And, by the way, this old “article” is last year’s “blog” — check the date. Simply click the link to the updated article for current information. ~Dawn
Dnt know bout going to the state fair sounds a little too expensive probably jus hit the strawberry festival later this month!……………………..
