Amelia Island Graveyard

This photograph was taken a few years ago at St. Peter's Episcopal Church Cemetery on Amelia Island. It was right before sunset as we were gathering for a haunted tour of Downtown Fernandina Beach. While nothing seemed out of the ordinary at the time I took the photograph, when I got home and downloaded it I was surprised to see what appeared to be two orbs in the center of the picture. Could they really be celestial spheres? All I know is that there didn't appear to be any smudges on the camera lens or any other explanation. The pictures I took before and after this one came out perfectly.

If you're interested in spirits, would like to gain more insight into them and maybe even photograph them, the 115-year-old Cassadaga, a spiritualist camp, offer Orb Photography tours every Saturday and Encounter the Spirit Tours on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Tours are $15 and $25. For times and more information and reservations call 386-228-2880 or inquire in person at the bookstore.

All Hallows Eve 2011 Fair

Join the Cassadaga camp's gypsies and mediums for two nights — Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29 — of haunted attractions, including live entertainment, readings, Halloween lore, bone throwers, dance troupe, karaoke and a Halloween Walk.
