You don't have to go all the way to Africa to go on safari. You can answer the call of the wild and go on safari right here in Florida. But, on these safaris the only thing you'll shoot is a lot of pictures!
Of course, you'll have to go where the wild things (err... animals) are. Florida safari opportunities range from South Florida's Lion Country Safari, where you can drive yourself wild (use your own car and travel at your own pace ) to Central Florida's newest adventure at Florida EcoSafari, a canopy cycle, where you observe wildlife as you peddle a cycle-like contraption suspended safely by a cable at treetop level. Other safari adventures around Florida include swamp buggy tours, airboat tours and treks over swaying wooden bridges. Talk about photo opportunities. There are even safaris at Disney World with up-close-and-personal animal interactions. There's even opportunities to "rough-it" overnight in thatched-roof Chickees or hear the night sounds of the jungle.
