Today is the first day of spring and since most of the country has had an unusually cold winter, and even those of us in Florida are looking forward to celebrating. With sunny to partly cloudy conditions and temperatures in the 80s throughout most of the state, the weekend's weather should be pretty nice, so what better way to celebrate than to get out and about at these weekend events:
- It looks like perfect weather for the Tampa Bay Airfest at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa featuring the Thunderbirds. Back in the sky after the 2013 budget sequester grounded it, the Airfest will open its gates at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday with the fun continuing through Sunday. Expect airport-type security, so coolers, glass containers, pets, fireworks, and large tote bags are all prohibited.
- Universal Orlando's Mardi Gras celebration continues this Friday and Saturday with A Great Big World performing Friday evening and Gavin DeGraw in concert on Saturday evening.
- Enjoy millions of blooms at the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival with the Flower Power concerts featuring The Orchestra Starring Former Members of ELO Friday through Sunday evenings.
