Tropical Storm Arlene
Tropical Storm Arlene moved inland just west of Pensacola, Florida Saturday afternoon. All hurricane warnings and watches have been discontinued. As of 4 a.m. Sunday, the storm is moving toward the north near 17 m.p.h. across northern Alabama. This movement is expected throughout Sunday with a gradual turn toward the northeast. The storm is now just a tropical depression and located near 33.5 North and Longitude 88.0 West or about 30 miles northwest of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. There will be no further updates on Arlene.
This storm should remind each Floridian to stock up on emergency supplies. If you do so now, you can take advantage of the hurricane season's Tax-Free Holiday which ends TODAY — Sunday, June 12.
