The multi-million dollar international sports complex is capable of accommodating amateur and professional training and competition, and is one of the world's premier sports destinations.
The 200 acre sports complex can host more than 30 sports from aerobics to wrestling and all the "balls" in between. It's impressive facilities include classrooms, office space and media facilities, and serves as headquarters for sporting events taking place throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.
Since its grand opening in March, 1997, it has hosted a broad spectrum of athletes, ranging from youth league competitors to leisure-time amateurs, seniors to college teams and professionals. Major League Baseball's Atlanta Braves have made the sports complex their spring training home since 1998. Fans can enjoy spring training games at Champion Stadium. The retro-style Major League Baseball park a capacity of 11,500 fans, plus a grass berm that provides an additional 2,000 seats.The old-style fieldhouse called "The Milk House" can accommodate six full-size basketball courts and 5,500 spectators. Other venues include a baseball quadraplex, two youth baseball fields, a track and field complex, a softball quadraplex, an 11-court tennis facility with a center court stadium, and four sports fields all sized for international soccer.
Away from the stands, guests can tackle the only permanent version of the NFL Experience. This interactive football playground gives fans of all ages and skill levels the chance to test their speed, passing and field goal kicking ability.
The world famous sports-themed restaurant, the All Star Cafe, features a delicious menu, an interactive game room, and a main dining room lined with baseball mitt-shaped booths and huge video screens where guests can watch sports highlights and live action games.
