Daytime Stars Shine at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Disney will no longer host the popular annual event.

Disney's Super Soap Weekend held its last event November 15 & 16, 2008. Disney's Hollywood Studios will no longer host the popular event. Instead, ABC launched a Soap Nation Tour with daytime star appearing at different venues, including a three-day cruise.

A lineup of more than 30 stars from the ABC daytime dramas will participate in the world's largest soap opera fan-fest at Disney's Hollywood Studios (formerly Disney-MGM Studios) November 15 & 16, 2008.

Throughout the ABC SOAPnet Super Soap Weekend, fans will have the opportunity to meet favorite stars from the three ABC Daytime dramas — "All My Children," "One Life To Live" and "General Hospital." Also featured: Hollywood-style motorcades, star autograph sessions, interactive game shows, celebrity interviews and the chance to purchase one-of-a-kind memorabilia from each of the shows.

The complete lineup of talent expected to appear includes 36 of ABC Daytime's most popular stars:

Also expected to be on hand for the event is Sherri Shepherd, "The View" co-host, who will return to the event for the second consecutive year and reunite with Daytime Emmy Awards co-host, Cameron Mathison, to host the Colgate Total Street Jam. Due to Susan Lucci's participation in "Dancing with the Stars," she is only scheduled to appear on Saturday at this time.

This will be the last Super Soap Weekend in Orlando, as the ABC's Daytime Divison embarks on the 2009 Soap Nation Tour. The Tour is a collection of nationwide events designed for interactive with fans on a year-round basis, offering greater access to stars in more cities, more often.
