In May, 2004 our family gathered for an informal family reunion brought
about by my niece's wedding. About a dozen of us congregated in two rented
vacation cottages on Indian Rocks Beach. While my niece made last minute
wedding plans and frantically checked guest lists, we were no help at all
while we frolicked in the nearby Gulf of Mexico. |
| Indian Rocks Beach is known more as a family beach rather than a "party" beach, which suited us just fine. We had several tiny kids in our group, and you'll notice that my mom (age 78 here) was still a kid at heart when she took off as a passenger on a Sea-Doo piloted by her grandson, my nephew. We were a wild and crazy bunch, but in a civilized way, in our pursuit of scuba diving and Sea-Doo exploration off the gorgeous white sands of this Florida beach. Great fun, and an alien world to those of us from New Mexico. I hope we can come back and do this again! | |
