This lighthouse again stands straight and tall after being rescued with a new foundation.

Cape St. George Lighthouse
Apalachicola, Florida

Accessible only by boat, this light was constructed in 1852 and deactivated in mid 1994. It was leaning and in danger of falling when it was rescued from destruction with a new foundation in 2000.  History>
