  • If you take along a "bunting" (the zip up kind which baby slips into), these are great for making a little nest for the baby to sleep and keep them somewhat confined.
  • If you are flying, a narrow umbrella stroller will fit through the isles easier.
  • A bag for all the this gear that can hook on the back of the stroller is a perfect carry-on solution.
  • Put wet washclothes in a Ziplock® bag.
  • Don't have a changing mat? A receiving blanket will work nicely.
  • If you are flying, take-offs and landing sometime hurt children's ears. It is a good idea to have the baby suck on a pacifier or bottle during that time to ease the pain they may experience.

[  ] Blanket [  ] Bottle or Drinking Cup
[  ] Change of clothes [  ] Doll or Stuffed Animal

This is a difficult age for air travel. It is a good idea to plan your flight around your childs normal sleep pattern – at night or during naps – when they'll be asleep anyway.

Some children become hyper in the confines of an airplane. You may want to discuss this problem with your pediatrician for suggestions or possible medication.

  • Dress this age in bright-colored clothing making them easier to spot if you become separated.
  • Snack ideas: pretzels, little boxes of raisins, animal crackers, cereal, etc.
  • Put wet washclothes in a Ziplock® bag.
  • A small backpack that looks like an animal is a perfect carry-on for this age.
