- If you take along a "bunting" (the zip up kind which
baby slips into), these are great for making a little nest for the baby to sleep and keep
them somewhat confined.
- If you are flying, a narrow umbrella stroller will fit through
the isles easier.
- A bag for all the this gear that can hook on the back of the
stroller is a perfect carry-on solution.
- Put wet washclothes in a Ziplock® bag.
- Don't have a changing mat? A receiving blanket will work
nicely.
- If you are flying, take-offs and landing sometime hurt
children's ears. It is a good idea to have the baby suck on a pacifier or bottle during
that time to ease the pain they may experience.

| This is a difficult age
for air travel. It is a good idea to plan your flight around your childs normal sleep
pattern at night or during naps when they'll be asleep anyway. Some children become hyper in the confines of an airplane. You may want to
discuss this problem with your pediatrician for suggestions or possible medication.
- Dress this age in bright-colored clothing making them easier
to spot if you become separated.
- Snack ideas: pretzels, little boxes of raisins, animal
crackers, cereal, etc.
- Put wet washclothes in a Ziplock® bag.
- A small backpack that looks like an animal is a perfect
carry-on for this age.
- If you are flying, take-offs and landing sometime hurt
children's ears. It is a good idea to have your toddler eat a snack and drink from his cup
during that time to ease the pain they may experience.

- Homework is a fact of life, and air travel time is a great
time to catch up on assignments.

Provide a guide book and let them note what they would like to see and do.
- Snack ideas: Fruit chews, gum, little cheese/cracker packages,

- Older children often have braces on their teeth. Make sure
they have a toothbrush and small tube of toothpaste and any additional needs such as wax,
