It is officially Autumn, and as if on cue, cooler weather has arrived. Taking a break from the heat and humidity of Florida summers, Floridians celebrate by taking to the streets in many varied fall festivals. Last week we looked at some of the most unusual celebrations. This week we visit some of the best art and craft festivals Florida has to offer this time of the year. These festivals provide great family fun and are a perfect place to shop for those hard-to-buy-for people on your holiday list. There is something going on in every part of the state and every weekend from now until Thanksgiving, so pack up the family and enjoy the sights, sounds, and great Florida fall weather!

Central Florida Peanut Festival
Williston - October 6

Grab the family and come on down for a day of fun, food, games, and entertainment! Watch girls and boys compete for Little Peanut King and Queen, take a ride on a horse-drawn trolley, listen to live music, enter the horse shoe tournament, stroll around antique cars and through over 90 vendor booths, and more.

The Central Florida Peanut Festival is held at Linear Park on Main Street from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For further information call (352) 528-5552.

Winter Park Autumn Art Festival
Winter Park  - October 13 & 14

Musical entertainment, food, and children's activities along with 125 of Florida's finest artists combine for a weekend of family fun. There is a children's hands-on art workshop both days.

The event is held annually at Lake Island Park located at the corner of Morse Boulevard and Denning Drive. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with free admission and parking. Winter Park is just minutes from downtown Orlando.
