Golf Paradise

Award winning golf is just steps away when you stay at Amelia Island Plantation. The resort is the winner of numerous prestigious awards, including the "Gold Medal" from Golf Magazine, the "Top 75 Resort Courses in the U.S." from Golf Digest and Links Magazine's "Best of the South" award.

Keeping with the owner's environmental sensitivity, Amelia's courses were designed with the environment in mind. Coquina shell cart paths are mostly used throughout and most of the water used to irrigate greens and fairways is recycled water. Must of the area provides a habitat for birds and other wildlife. The beauty of an environment of oaks, palmettos, massive sand dunes, crashing surf and large lagoons combine with playability for 54 holes of championship golf. Ocean Links and Long Point combined offer seven seaside holes for more holes on the ocean than any other Florida resort.

Pete Dye's and Bobby Weed's creation, Amelia Links, include the 36 holes of Oak Marsh and Ocean Links. Each course is notable for its varying characteristics and individuality that allow player so differing skill levels to create their own golf experience.

Long Point, designed by Tom Fazio, is situated amidst the marshland and natural dune ridges of the Intracoastal Waterway known as Nassau Sound. The 18 holes emphasize sweeping views of the island and rolling fairways.
