Guide Review - Restaurant Review: The Verandah
Although the restaurant specializes in fresh seafood dishes, and several seafood entrées came highly recommended, we settled on landlubber fare. My husband ordered the grilled pork tenderloin that was topped with stewed mangos and a tasty Caribbean sauce. I tried the pan-roasted free-range chicken with a Zinfandel and fresh thyme sauce. Both meals came with a crunchy fresh-vegetable medley and a basket of fresh bread. The food was well portioned and cooked to tender perfection.
If you are staying on Amelia Island, I highly recommend this dining experience. Reservations are recommended - call 904-321-5050 or 904-491-4646.
