Situated right at the front of Chester and Hester's Dino-Rama area in DinoLand U.S.A., the TriceraTop spin is sure to catch the eye of an preschooler in your party. Whimsical and friendly dinosaurs soar high above the crowds, and even the youngest member of your party can ride.
Ride Overview:
If your preschooler loves Dumbo the Flying Elephant in the Magic Kingdom, then head over to the TriceraTop Spin — the "merry go round" style ride motion is almost the same, but the flying elephants have been replaced with dinosaurs. You have the option of soaring high or hugging the ground as you whirl around, and you can control the tilt of your dino as well.
Best For:
TriceraTop Spin is ideal for the under six crowd, but guests of all ages can ride. This ride is a nice change of pace for little ones — many of the rides in Disney's Animal Kingdom have height restrictions, and are not geared towards preschoolers.
One of the best features of TriceraTop Spin? There is almost never a line to ride! DinoLand U.S.A. has so many interesting features for older kids and families, this ride is easy to overlook.
Cautions and Warnings:
While you will usually be able to hope aboard a dinosaur without much delay, be aware that this ride is in the direct sunlight — it may be better to ride this one in the morning or evening on a hot day.
Tips:
- If you enjoy TriceraTop Spin, don't miss Dumbo the Flying Elephant or the Magic Carpets of Aladdin in the Magic Kingdom, they differ only in themeing.
- There are other great attractions for preschoolers in all of the Disney theme parks, so keep an eye out for kid-friendly attractions when you travel with a little one.
