If you have a Disney pin collection, the best place to show off your pins is at a Disney theme park. You can keep your pins hidden away in a binder, but it is much more fun to show off your favorites as you tour the theme parks, particularly if you plan on trading. There are several different ways to show off your pins while keeping them safe from harm. You can wear a lanyard, hat or vest, or secure your pins on a sash or backpack to keep them close at hand if a trading opportunity presents itself.

Use a lanyard: Lanyards are the default way of displaying your pins, and you can find a selection of lanyards wherever pins are sold. Some lanyards even have a special pocket to hold your park tickets and Fastpasses, so this is a good "hands free" option if you have less than 20 pins to display.

Wear a hat: You can display a select group of about 10 pins on the front of a baseball cap, and many more on a bucket or cloche style topper. Select a hat from a Disney store or bring one from home; just remember to secure your hat on rides or you could lose it and your pins as well.

  • Tip: Lost a hat or other object in a Disney theme park? Pay a visit to Lost and Found, you may be able to retrieve it.

Wear a vest: Do you want to truly wear your pin collection? Sticking Disney pins into a regular shirt won't be very comfortable and would likely damage the shirt, but a vest or jacket will display your collection nicely. You can find canvas vests at the craft store, or head to your local thrift shop for a one-of-a-kind vintaqe find.

Carry a bag: Display your pins on a tote bag, messenger bag or backpack. You can use pins on most surfaces without causing damage, and you won't have to worry about actually wearing your pins each day. Display a handful of pins on the flap of a messenger bag, or show off a single favorite on a tote. Either way, a bag works well for toting your pins and other Disney gear.

Wear a sash: Play princess for a day and wear a sash covered with your favorite pins. You can buy a sash at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in the Magic Kingdom (you'll receive a free sash with some makeover packages). You can make or buy a sash to showcase your pins. Check fabric stores for patterns, or specialty collector catalogs for pre-made sashes in a variety of fabrics and sizes.
