Founded in 1883, National League's Philadelphia Phillies have the distinction of being the oldest continuous franchise in professional American sports with one name and one city. The Phillies have won two World Series championships — 1980 & 2008 — and seven National League pennants.
The Philadelphia Phillies have been training in Clearwater since 1948. Bright House Networks Field is used for spring training games, but the adjacent Carpenter Field, built in 1967, is used for workouts by the Phillies' major and minor league players. Bright House Networks Field seats 7,300 fans with additional grass berm seating of 1,500. The classic Floridian architectural style of the Field features a 360-degree main concourse that is open to the playing field, a tiki-hut pavilion in left field, group picnic areas, a kids' play area, team store and state-of-the-art video scoreboard.
Individual spring training tickets to all Philadelphia Phillies spring training games can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or at the Philadelphia Phillies Official Site or by calling 215-463-1000 (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
