Central Florida Celebrations I

4th of July Lakefest Celebration (St. Cloud) - A community "get-together" on Lakeshore Boulevard with day-long activities, entertainment, arts and craft displays and fireworks. Festivities start at 10:00 a.m. and admission is free.

Independence Day Carillon Concert (Bok Tower, Lake Wales) - Celebrate the birth of our great country on July 4th in the sanctuary while listening to beloved patriotic tunes such as "America, the Beautiful,"Yankee Doodle" and "The Star-Spangled Banner." Concerts are at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. Cost is free with general sanctuary admission - adults, $10; children 5-12, $3; children under 5 and members, free.

Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration (Downtown Mount Dora) - Bring the kids and enjoy a parade, Kid's Fest, entertainment, food, games and fireworks! For more information call 352-383-2165.

Red, White and Zoo celebrates the 4th and the Central Florida Zoo's 34th birthday on July 4 & 5 with live music, games, food, children's crafts, zoo animal encounters and more. 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Free with regular paid zoo admission.

Star Spangled Sanford on the Riverwalk held at Sanford's RiverWalk and Fort Mellon Park is a great family-friendly event for all ages. Bring a blanket or chairs and enjoy live music, the Kids' Zone and more. Just after sundown (approximately 9:15 p.m.) watch a spectacular fireworks display.
