Step Back Into 1864

Fort Clinch Entrance© 2006 Dawn Henthorn, licensed to About.com, Inc.
You'll walk over a draw bridge and take a step back into history when you enter Fort Clinch and see how it may have looked in 1864 when it was being built by Army Engineers.

The first weekend of each month, soldiers perform 1864 reenactments of everday fort operations on Fort Garrison Weekends. Check with the Ranger Station for other frequently held events.
