Ybor City Museum State Park Tour

The small bedrooms of Ybor City's casitas were furnished with iron beds, a simple wardrobe and a dry sink. With only two bedrooms, children shared a bedroom and that was also their indoor play area. Since the windows were left open much of the time, a canopy of mosquito netting was usually found over the beds. Also, since there was no indoor plumbing, a "slop jar" for use at night was a necessity.
