These lines of beach umbrellas and chairs are empty early in the morning, but by mid-day they will likely be full and so will the beach. If you are planning to take the ferry from Honeymoon Island State Park to Caladesi Island, you should plan on arriving early. The ferry departs every hour beginning at 10:00 a.m. (every half hour during peak season). The ferry operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so by mid-day you might be waiting an hour or more for your scheduled ferry to depart.
