The Honeymoon Island Nature Center features a number of exhibits and interactive, hands-on displays giving visitors a look at the island’s natural habitat. Children will particularly enjoy the “Scavenger Hunt” designed to help them have fun learning about all the different species that inhabit the island.

There is a small selection of nature related materials and souvenirs for sale — books, guides of birds and fish, totes, etc. If you're going to be birdwatching on Honeymoon or Caladesi Islands, I suggest purchasing the sand and waterproof laminated guide to "Florida's Gulf Coast Birds." The fold-out guide pictures 62 species of birds, including shorebirds, wading birds, waterbirds and birds of prey that frequent Florida's Gulf Coast. The guide may be purchased at the Nature Center or online at FoldingGuides.com where many other fold-out guides are also available.
