The Magic Kingdom was the first theme park to open at Disney World — October 1, 1971. The park is divided into seven different "lands" — Main Street U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, Mickey's Toontown Fair and Tomorrowland. The Magic Kingdom is a storybook fantasy filled with Disney characters at every turn, classic attractions and dazzling entertainment.

    • Hours
        -9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
        -During busy seasons, it is open later than usual.
        -Call 407-824-4321 or click here for up-to-date schedules.
    • Parking
        -All-day parking at the magic kingdom is $12.00 or free to resort guests with proper resort ID.
        -Lots are named after Disney characters.
        -Lots Minnie, Sleepy and Dopey are within walking distance of the ticket center.
        -Other lots are served by trams.
    • Getting to the Park
        -The Magic Kingdom Ticket Center is across Bay Lake from the actual theme park. To get to the Magic Kingdom, guests may board either the Disney Monorail or one of three 600-passenger ferry boats.
    • Getting Around
        -The Walt Disney World Railroad steam trains make 20-minute loops of the park, stopping to pick up and drop off passengers at stations on Main Street, Frontierland, and Mickey's Toontown Fair.
        -Horseless carriages, a fire engine, and horse-drawn trolleys take turns offering one-way trips down Main Street.
        -Six 39-passenger motor launches and three 120-passenger motor cruisers transport guests between the Magic Kingdom and five resorts — Contemporary Resort, Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Grand Floridian Resort, Polynesian Resort and Wilderness Lodge. -Additionally, buses provide transportation to all on-property resort hotels.
    • Kennel
        -While guests are busy meeting Cinderella, pets are taken well taken care of at Disney's kennels. One is located just outside the Magic Kingdom Ticket Center. Fees range from $10 to $20 per day, per pet. Call 407-824-6568 for more information and reservations.
    • Rental Rates
        -Stroller rental is $15/day single ($13.00 per day for length-of-stay rentals).
        -$31/day double ($27.00 per day for length-of-stay rentals).
        -Lockers are $5.00 per day (large lockers $7.00 per day), plus $5.00 refundable deposit.
        -Wheelchair rental is $10/day rental ($8.00 per day for length-of-stay rentals) plus $5 refundable deposit per day.
        -ECV (Motorized Scooters) rent for $45/day plus $20 refundable deposit per day.
    • Dining
        Disney World's Magic Kingdom has a variety of dining experiences for guests that offer everything from snack carts in every "land" (selling ice cream, fresh fruits and vegetables, chips, nuts and popcorn), hot dogs, hamburgers and pizza to royal fare fit for kings and queens. Unless you dine with the characters, most meals are very reasonably priced in this park. | Dining Details |
