Downtown Orlando. The heart of the city's commercial core is being reshaped with new residential condos, trendy restaurants, eclectic shops and even trendier night spots. Downtown also anchors the "Cultural Corridor" that stretches for blocks with theaters, galleries and performing arts venues.

However, the centerpiece of downtown, and the center of weekday activity, is Lake Eola Park where people gather to eat lunch, stroll and simply enjoy the view. Heritage Square is home to the Orange County Regional History Center and also the site of a lively farmer’s market on the second, third and fourth Saturday of the month.

After dark, downtown transforms into a trendy nightlife destination with nightclubs, like Paris Hilton's Club Paris.

A great city for walking, the city offers a self-guided walking tour of the eight-square-block Downtown Orlando Historic District with buildings dating back to the 1880s.
