The 19th Annual Epcot Flower & Garden Festival kicks off gardening wizardry with a new Sorcerer Mickey topiary conducting floral magic at Epcot's front entrance. Even as spring is just beginning to put on a colorful coat, Sorcerer Mickey will conjure up a riot of color in manicured shapes of dancing broomsticks, buckets, mushrooms, hippos, alligators and elephants reminiscent of the classic Disney film, "Fantasia."
Beyond the dazzling displays of blooms and topiaries, special gardens, events and children's play areas throughout the park offer more reasons to visit the festival than ever. The 2012 Festival highlights include:
- Bambi's Butterfly House will be three times the size of the festival's original and will be "a-flutter" with multiple species of beautiful butterflies.
- Disney fairy topiaries will greet young fans at the Pixie Hollow Fairy Garden This whimsical garden features play structures for children ages 2-5 and will be located at the Test Track walkway.

I've been fortunate enough to attend the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival several years. Photo opportunities are absolutely everywhere — the flowers are always so beautiful and it is a great time to pick up tips for your own garden. If you're a fan of 60s and 70s music, you'll also enjoy the Flower Power Concerts.
The 19th Annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival kicks off March 7 and continues through May 20, 2012. The festival, including all gardening programs and exhibits, is included in regular Epcot admission.
