If you are heading to Disney World in October, don't miss Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. You'll spot some of your favorite characters in costume, trick or treat, attend special character-hosted dance parties and have unlimited access to rides like Splash Mountain and Space Mountain. While the entire party is a blast, get the most out of the night with these great tips:

  • While most rides are available with little or no wait, a few kid-friendly attractions have waits up to 20 minutes in the early part of the evening. Save Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan's Flight and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh until later in the evening.
  • Rides like Prince Charming's Regal Carrousel, Magic Carpets of Aladdin and Snow White's Scary Adventures will have little or no wait most evenings.
  • Park crowds will begin to thin out after the second showing of Mickey's Boo-To-You Parade, so be prepared to hit the rides and treat stations in the latter part of the evening.
  • Head to Adventureland and trick or treat by the two-story tall Pumba figure that towers over the Jungle Cruise area for duration of the party.
  • Look for the life-sized glittery pumpkin carriage right outside Pinnochio Haus in Fantasyland. Photopass photographers will be standing by to snap your photo in front of Cinderella's pumpkin carriage.
  • Keep an eye on the front of Mickey's Philharmagic in Fantasyland, this is a great spot to grab an autograph from your favorite Disney villain.
  • Head to Adventureland for fun games and activities like pirate bowling; while you are there, keep an eye out for your favorite pirate characters — both Captain Hook and Smee can be spotted nearby.
  • Complete the pirate relay course and win a special prize like an eyepatch or skull ring.
  • Wear a costume! Even adults can trick or treat at Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party. Don't want to get dressed up? Get a mini makeover at the Pirate League or a face painting booth instead.
  • Even if you usually bypass parades, snag a good seat for Mickey's Boo-To-You Parade, it is one of Disney's finest.
  • While the party doesn't begin until 7:00 p.m. ticket holders can pick up party wristbands and trick or treat bags on Main Street or at Stitch's Great Escape starting at 4:00 p.m.
