There were some real characters on spring break at the 15th annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival when I attended recently. Guests are welcomed to the park by oceans of floral fantasy — Goofy riding a 6-foot wave of flowers and plants while Mickey Mouse and gal pal Minnie chil at the "beach" among sandcastles and palm trees. More beachy scenes featuring favorite topiary characters carry out the "Fun in the Sun" theme of this year's festival. The 305 acres of Future World and World Showcase are blooming beautifully for picture-perfect photo opportunities.
I was especially impressed this year with Garden Town, located in Future World East. The venue is roomy and perfectly suited for displays, demonstations, shopping and more... and it's air conditioned! Also, there are more interactive activities and play areas for children, our future gardeners.
