The University of Tampa is recognized by the stately minarets that grace the downtown skyline. The Henry B. Plant Museum at The University of Tampa is housed in the 1891 Tampa Bay Hotel which is now a National Historic Landmark. It was built by the transportation magnate, Henry Bradley Plant. It features unique Moorish revival architecture and the unforgettable dramatic minarets.

If you visit the museum, you will see European furniture and art treasures of the original railroad resort and the Gilded Age as well as a permanent exhibit on the Spanish American War.
