These top Tampa Bay attractions located in Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater are must sees if you are in the area.

1. Busch Gardens - Tampa

Busch Gardens is an adventure park and one of the top zoos in North America. It's world-class thrill rides provide heart-pounding excitement and it also brings you face-to-face with more exotic and endangered animals than any other destination outside of Africa.

2. Adventure Island - Tampa

Adventure Island is packed with... well, adventure! Adjacent to Busch Gardens, it is Tampa Bay's only water park. Wild rides rule and daredevils will get their thrills slip-sliding and splish-splashing their bodies around all the cool watery attractions.

Adventure Island is open seasonally — March to October — and requires separate admission from Busch Gardens.

3. Florida Aquarium - Tampa

The Florida Aquarium is one of the top 10 aquariums in the country. See sharks, alligators, otters and penguins ... or touch a stingray, bamboo shark or star fish. Interactive programs allow you to swim with fishes or dive with sharks.

The Florida Aquarium is located in Downtown Tampa adjacent to the Port of Tampa making it the perfect stop before or after your cruise. Also, Tampa's Streetcars make a stop at the Aquarium on their way from Downtown Tampa to the Ybor City historic district.

4. Salvadore Dali Museum - St. Petersburg

Inspired by the artist, the new Salvador Dali Museum has been designed specifically for this collection. The design has already attracted world attention. AOL Travel News has listed it as "one of the top buildings you have to see before you die."

5. Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI) - Tampa

The Museum of Science & Industry, or MOSI as it is affectionately called, features over 400,000 square feet of permanent interactive exhibits, making it the largest science center in the southeastern United States.

MOSI features more than 450 hands-on exhibits, the Saunders Planeterium, MOSI's IMAX Dome Theatre, and outdoor BioWorks Butterfly Garden.

6. Lowry Park Zoo - Tampa

7. Clearwater Marine Aquarium

Since the release of the feel-good flick Dolphin Tale this has become a must-see attraction. This is the home of Winter, the star of the movie, and her Dolphin Tale Adventure is now open so that visitors can experience the movie and relive the tale.
