Family Portraits at Disney World

Experience the magic of PhotoPass in a whole new way

From

Disney World has so many great attractions and rides, it is easy to overlook some of the little perks that add to the magic of your trip. One of these perks is the presence of Photopass photographers at theme park and character meet and greet locations.

Disney has recently added Photopass photography sites to select resort locations. If you are staying at or visiting the Grand Floridian Resort, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, or other participating resort, you can enjoy a free portrait session with a professional photographer.

The portrait session offered at these sites is more elaborate and formal than the "snap and go" photography available in the theme parks. Professional lighting and equipment, coupled with a formal but not intrusive set, allows you to bring home a portrait of your entire family for a fraction of the cost you'd pay elsewhere. (The photography session is free, but prints cost the normal PhotoPass rate).

This is an excellent way to get a shot of the whole family dressed their vacation best, and you will be able to view the photos instantly at the adjacent photo desk, or see them later from home. Cast members working at the photo station can also print your portraits, or any PhotoPass pictures you have had taken so far. The finished pictures make a great addition to your Disney scrapbook.

Tip: Stop by a PhotoPass portrait station before dining at a resort restaurant, and get a photo of everyone before they have a chance to get messy!
