Guide Review - Resort Review: Caribbean Beach ResortLocated on 200 lushly landscaped acres near Epcot, the tropically themed resort is a collection of island-style "villages" that are a blend of cool pastel walls, white wood railings and vividly colored metal roofs. Guests check in at the islands-styled Custom House and follow palm-tree lined roadways to their village - Trinidad, Martinique, Barbados, Aruba or Jamaica. Within each village is a cluster of two-story buildings with guestrooms, a swimming pool, a guest laundry and a lakefront stretch of white-sand beach. The decor and furnishings reflect the Caribbean theme. Guestrooms are decorated in softer tones than the colors found outside and both the guestrooms and bathrooms are ample in size. All rooms are identical in size and comfort the only difference in price is the view. Old Port Royale in the center of the resort has the feel of a Caribbean village, with stone walls, pirates' cannons and tropical birds and flowers. It is there guests find the resort's shops, game room, lounge, food court, restaurant and enjoy live entertainment in an islands streetscape setting. Dining options include counter-service restaurants in the food court that serve up plenty of choices to satisfy the entire family, including soups, salads, sandwiches, pizza, pasta and even burgers. Shutters, a table-service restaurant features pan-seared snapper and jerk-roasted chicken. Outdoor recreational opportunities include walking, biking, jogging, playgrounds and watercraft.
