Walt Disney World Resorts: Deluxe Accommodations

Disney World offers a variety of on-property resort hotels. These deluxe accommodations come with the best guest room and resort amenities that Disney has to offer. Besides world-class accommodations and restaurants, you may find spas, health clubs, beaches, pools and more. Of course, free on-property transportation, extra-magic hours and the Disney dining plan are also perks.

1. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a six-story resort styled after a kraal African village design — a horseshoe shape. Enjoy 24-hour views to a 33-acrew savannah of free-roaming mammals and tropical birds outside and inside hand-carved furnishings, African art and a giant fireplace.

2. Disney's Contemporary Resort

The first of Disney World's resorts, the Contemporary Resort is an architecture marvel. The 14-story resort provides awe-inspiring views of the Bay Lake, Seven Seas Lagoon and the Magic Kingdom. Of course, Disney's monorail makes a stop inside the resort thanks to the monorail beam that extends through the center of the A-frame.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground offers guests the rustic charm of camping with a sprinkle of Disney magic. Two types of accommodations are available — campsites for tents and RVs and wilderness cabins. The resort covers 740-acres giving guests plenty of outdoor recreational opportunities.

6. Disney's Wilderness Lodge

Disney's Wilderness Lodge is reminiscent of the Old Faithful Inn at Yellowstone Park — with Disney's magic touches. The spectacular six-story lobby features an 82-foot-tall stone fireplace. The bubbling hot spring in the lobby expands outside the building into a roaring waterfall flowing into the swimming area. You won't want to miss the hourly "eruption" of the geothermal "geyser" at the edge of Bay Lake.
